TREK PROFILE
 The
tour starts from Delhi, where you will be received at
the airport and transferred to hotel. Next day we will
take the spectacular flight over the Himalayas to Leh
- the enchanting Ladakhi town. After over a day of acclimatization
in Leh, we explore the local attractions and the magnificent
monasteries. From Leh, we head to Likir to start our
trek.
This part of the route
seldom goes higher than 4,000 m as we walk through a
stunning green oasis of Indus valley inhabited by the
Ladakhi people with their unique ancient culture and
customs. We pass through the breathtaking canyons and
enjoy the views of pastel colored mountains with snow
covered peaks. Surrounded by hard arid desert landscape,
one is amazed to see this sudden fertile area with an
abundance of fruit and nut orchards.
The second part of our
trek uses a very less traveled route, high over mountain
ranges lining the Indus valley and heading to Tar La
(5,250 m). This region of high passes and mighty peaks
is softened by the immense charm of the Ladakhi villages,
its people and the beautiful view of the Ladakh and
Zanskar mountain ranges.
We finish our trek near
the famous Alchi monastery where from we head to Leh
followed by our flight to Delhi. Back in Delhi, we have
an option to visit the magnificent Taj Mahal in Agra
or spend the day in India's capital city for individual
exploration / relaxing.

Day 17 : Delhi free day or optional
trip to Agra visiting Taj Mahal
Day 18 : Departure transfer to the
international airport.
